Line stopping is an innovation in which DKS has invested. With line stops, we may work under pressure to renew FIRE HYDRANTS and SLUICE VALVES. With this procedure, we simply introduce a balloon (of any material) into the pipe and blow it up with mains pressurised water, allowing us to remove the old, broken, or damaged asset. Directional drilling can be a method used for all sizes of mains in roads and fields that we use to save the cost of open trenches ie. reinstatement and tarmacing. This method can also be used under rivers, motorways and railways. DKS can also use the moling (GRUNDOMAT) method, which allows us to tunnel beneath your garden, patio, or drive with only two tiny excavations. We can use this approach in 10m lengths while updating service pipes in modern 25/32mm MDPE pipe and removing your old lead, copper, or galv supplies.
If you have leaks or just need to quantify how much water is being used, DKS will install temporary or permanent metres to services or mains as needed to aid with use or water loss. The aforementioned metres can also be recorded for nightly capture.
